Thursday Thriller #2: THE KNIFE IN THE BRIEFCASE

10 Oct

Here is my version of “The knife in the Briefcase”. Just like last time, I drew a picture of one of the characters! Leave a like if you want to see more THURSDAY THRILLERS! And if you haven’t already, make sure to follow my blog. 🙂

The man with the briefcase...

The man with the briefcase…

Jane looks at her watch while the checkout girl bags her groceries. 4:30! She has just one hour to get home and start making a special dinner for her daughter, Amy. Amy is on holiday from college. This is the first time Jane will see her daughter in 3 months! Aside from video chatting, of course. Jane takes her groceries to her car and starts to put the bags in the trunk, when she notices that it has a flat tire!

“Great! How on earth am I going to make it home in time!” Jane says to herself.

Jane calls a tow truck company, but unfortunately it will take an hour before they get to the grocery store. A well-dressed man, maybe a business man, approaches Jane.

“I heard all the commotion and thought I might be able to help you!” he says.

He looks familiar but Jane can’t seem to place him. She accepts his offer and her tire is replaced in just 20 minutes! She thanks the man but just as she is about to open the car door and leave, the stranger asks for a lift. Forgetting about the dinner, Jane agrees.

“Thanks! But if you don’t mind I have to use the restroom. Just wait here, I won’t take too long!” he exclaims.

He leaves his briefcase in the front seat and heads to the bathroom. A minute or two passes and Jane remembers that she has to get home and prepare dinner for her daughter! Jane races home and makes a special meal. Hours later, Jane is sitting with her family in the dinning room, exchanging stories of their day when she suddenly remembers the man that changed her tire! Jane, her husband and her daughter go to the car and find the man’s briefcase. They open it and find a knife, some rope, duct tape and an ice pick (the ice pick caused the flat tire). Now Jane remembers where she saw the man! He was hanging around the grocery parking lot for the past two weeks, observing her every move!

HUMANS CAN LICK, TOO

“Finally.” Ally exclaimed, “My first house.”

Ally was so happy that she finally managed to find a small place  in the new town she moved to, Springbrooke. The best things about this house is that it  is close to her new job and it has enough space for her dog Tangerine!

“Come on bud! Let’s go unpack.” Ally said to Tangerine.

Later that night Ally was was watching her favourite show, Scary Saturdays. It was around 2 in the morning, when her favourite show got interrupted by a the local news, saying that an escapee from the Springbrook mental facility escaped earlier that day. Extremely tired she decided to go to sleep. When she got to the bedroom she saw Tangerine asleep below the bed.

“Good night Tangie!” She whispered.

After a few minutes, she fell asleep.

A few hours later, Ally woke up and heard rattling coming from outside. She remembered the news story from earlier and started to panic. She ran to the window and looked outside. But it wasn’t a person who was making that noise. It was just a couple of raccoons going trough the garbage can in the yard. Ally decided that the racoons would go away sooner or later. As she was getting back into bed, Tangerine licked her ankle. She fell asleep again, but only ten minutes later the noise was getting louder! Ally put her shoes on and went outside. As soon as the raccoons saw her they scurried away. Ally was about to go back inside but the smell of blood hit her. She went to the garbage can and inside she saw Tangerine, dismembered. On the inside of the garbage can lid she saw the words HUMANS CAN LICK TOO, scribbled in blood!

Hope you enjoyed the story! Stay tuned!
